I put candy in my apothecary jars in my garden window and found a cute single cupcake glass holder when I was shopping with my Bestie Annette on Monday.....she then found the cutest fake cupcakes for Valentines Day at Pier One and we picked some up there - I have so much fun with her - she is like a sister to me - but I don't get to see her as much as I want to.....
I made a rag tie swag out of cute pink and red material for the mantle and found some heart shaped lights to wrap in it - it glows really pretty at night.....then I put some of the valentines the kids made and some pictures and old valentine decorations mixed in with my regular mantle stuff....the little mailbox I painted is on the hearth with a heart bear in a chair and the musical toys the boys love to play with....
On my White sea shell hutch in the entry way I mixed in some valentine decorations, including the music box my boyfriend gave me when I was 18 that plays 'My Funny Valentine'....I still love it...I also have some handkerchiefs from my MaMa Auten and a tiny book of love poems and some wonderful mini scrapbook picture albums and blocks Kristen made for me along with a king and queen of hearts bear and heart tree Steve gave me on our 1st Valentines Day together....
Also in the garden window is my Analee Valentine Princess my real sister gave me....she gives me one for almost every holiday and I treasure them.....the apothecary on the left is filled with pink, white and red Jordan almonds yummy.....you can see the cupcake holder a bit better in this picture....I also found some hard candy with hearts in the middle and then some red and white peppermints...
On the bar I mixed some silk pink Gerber Daises and white silk tulips in a vase with marbles and my cupcake picture holder that I will put a Valentine picture of Rocky and the boys in when I get it printed....after this picture was taken I added a candy bowl of Conversation Hearts that I have to move when the boys come as they love to eat them and I have to portion them out....
