Rocky Road Wilson

This is Rocky.....our adorable Yorky....Rocky came to us 7 years ago as a 'Rescue Dog' found abandon in a cardboard box on a busy street with no water. He loves to go to Home Depot with Steve, 'find daddy's nose', sneeze on command, be held at all times by me, go camping (at least the first day), fly on Jet Blue to see his Grandparents in Idaho, lay on the blanket with Dylan while he watches tv and lick Brody's tasty hands. He is perfect and is a creature of habit and dare I say a bit high maintenance....but we love him anyway.

Rocky's List

Loves Routine

  • Walk at 5:30 a.m. every day

  • Egg white omelet with 1/4 prilosec on it (have you ever tried to cut a small prilosec in 4 pcs and then take it our of the hard coating and sprinkle it on an egg white omelet for a dog?)

  • Back to bed while we shower and get ready for work

  • Get carried downstairs and put on his fave blanket to sleep and bark the day away while we are off to earn his keep

  • Mighty Dog Dinner at 5 (Royal Canine dry mix 1/4 cup with 1 tsp organic chicken broth and 1/4 prilosec)

  • Cuddlying and spoiling for the evening

  • 'Wants to go to Bed' about 7:30 p.m.

  • And the bitter part of the sweet - loves to get up about 2 am for a quick look (patrol) outside and maybe a sip of water

Of course, since I have insominia that 2 am part is a kicker....either I am up and ready or just falling to sleep and groggy....or unable to go back to sleep....either way I (or Steve) have to get out of bed and take him downstairs and open the french door and wait for him (we have to close the doggy door at night due to 'the raccoon incident'). But after all that and the next morning watching him cuddle and stretch out when he has the whole bed to himself makes us smile. Thanks Rocky for the love!
