Patience is not my virtue....and waiting is not my strength....I have been missing Adam and Shannon and wanting to see their new home in Phoenix and since Steve's medical issue in January (Thurderburst headache - no diagnosis) we have been waiting to have him be seen by a Neurologist....the one we needed to see took us almost 5 weeks to get in to see....his appointment was Wednesday and we planned to drive to Phx on Thursday.....the closer it got the more anxious I got and that means the busier I had to be....this week drug on and on and I tried to fill it up to make it go faster so I could head to AZ....
The Condo refurb is making progress....however the Insurance Company is now pushing back on the cause and coverage....just gearing up for a fight with them is so negatively distracting....
The countertops and cabinets went back in the kitchen....we were so pleased as we thought we might have to replace them with all new....the guys are doing a great job!
We still have a way to go but it is coming together....this is a better picture of the wall color....
It seemed with all the worry and stress the only one that got any sleep around here this week was Rocky!
We sat in the grassy area and walked up and down the walking path soaking up the sun....
We picked up meatball sandwiches from our favorite deli in Little Italy....love their cheese case!
We bought a bottle of wine and uncorked it and put it in our coke cups because there is a crack down on any drinking in the harbor....we thought we were so clever and then all the other people had their drinks loud and proud right out in the open!
I made myself busy doing some cooking....pasta primavera and salmon.....
....and some pretzel snacks with mint green m&m's for some Leprauchan fun....
Finally Wednesday rolled around and we went to the Dr. which then resulted in some abnormal responses from some tests they gave Steve and ended up being a 2 hr appointment followed by 2 days of trying to get a brain scan and MRI.....(scary)
Steve never has been claustrophobic however, this time it really set in....he could not even complete the test on Thursday and we had to reschedule for Friday after he could take some Valium to calm down. He was so upset with himself and he had no reason to be.....that tube was crazy and would have been a challenge on a good day! So we put the trip off a day :( and Friday I sat right next to the machine and put in ear plugs and held his hand for 1.5 hours while it cranked and clammered away.....it was exhausting. However the minute we got home the Dr. was on the phone with great news! No tumors or strokes or brain bleeds! (Grateful) and we were so exhausted and relieved we just put the trip to Phx off....for now....I am sad, but relieved that there are no serious issues with those areas and they can now focus on the back (spine) and other areas to determine why he is having the challenges he is having....
So with some extra unplanned time I plotted some Leprechaun trickery....I loaded up on some treats to have some fun....
I got up early and drove to Kristen's and Brian's and laid out the scene....messed up their porch and moved things all over and spread out the Leprechaun Litter....
I also took it over to a friends house for her two boys.....
Kristen sent me these pictures of the aftermath....the boys had their friend Gracie over and they opened the door and saw the mess that pesky Leprechaun did!
They loaded up the loot.....
This picture made me laugh...they went to the circus last night and had their faces painted and you can still see some of it on them while holding onto their goodies....she also said Dylan said he heard the trickster and knew he was out there! Love their imaginations of how things take place...
So what shoud I do with extra time on my hands? Go Spring Shopping!!!!
I loved this black dress and springtime sweater from Macy's....
I thought it went well with my necklace I got in Italy.....
I found this fun knock off Fossil bag with bright spring colors!
....and these fun turquoise suede shoes, mint green sweater and necklace made of abalone shells....
I would much rather be in Phoenix but I am thankful Steve's test have turned out good so far and I hope that continues!
