An Evening in Paris aka How Fast did those 30 years go?

Memo to self - Face Facts!  My baby is 30!  How can that be?????  Ugh - musn't dwell on such things!!!

Anyhow, once I owned up to that we started planning her party......she came up with a Fab idea - a throwback prom, complete with theme...'An Evening in Paris'....so plan and prep we did.....all of us were involved....from shopping to planning to prepping to having fun - it was so much fun to work and play together......

First we moved out all the furniture in the family room.....Rocky did not know what to think about all the open space!
Then we built the prom photo back drop....PVC, lights, and many many trips to Target for sheers and draping.....
We used to call these paper lanterns 'Chinese' lanterns....when Dylan was helping he said, GiGi - you can't have Chinese lanterns at a Paris party - this little guy that keeps his GiGi in her place!
Every move we made Rocky was on the spot checking out what was happening....
Food prep!  We had a chocolate fountain, stuffed pasta shells with artichoke and spinach dip, meatballs, orange chicken and caprese appetizers....lots and lots of prep....
My sweet daughter in law Shannie doing all the mini cupcakes, red velvet with buttercream frosting and silver sprinkles, funfetti cupcakes with hot pink frosting and hot pink sprinkles....this girl is amazing....
The birthday girl setting up the bar area....we had a signature drink (The Parisian), 3 kinds of wine and a keg of Sam Adams....
Fresh flowers from my garden all around the house.....
Walking up to the entry way - the Moulin Rouge wreath and PAPER (non chinese) lanterns....
Bonne Nuit!  Entrevous!
Stop by our welcome table and drop off your purse.....
Stop by our Bon Bon table and have a treat - gaze at the pictures of 30 years of the birthday girl growing up!
Many delights for you to choose from (I scoured everywhere for pink, black and white candies!)
 more snacks....
Have your picture taken at the full size Eiffel Tower and Paris 'City of Lights!'  (Ok - you really have to visualize here! - work with me people!)
In the powder room - a touch of ole Paree!
Welcome to the Moulin Rouge dancefloor!
 Have a cocktail!
 Yummy treats by Shannie!
...and remember these old yard sale finds?????
Well they were transformed into Black and White Toile chairs for the French Cafe!!!  A BIG shout out to my sister in law and brother in law for so much help on these!  Rocky approved
Head to the backyard for the photo booth complete with props and memory book to share your pictures with!
And here is our birthday girl - Bonne Annee Kristen!
Kristen poses with the help - GiGi and FiFi (my bestie Annette and me)
And a Prom picture of the Mr. and Mrs. who also went to their prom together back in 1999 and 2000!  Everyone brought photos of their prom so we could display them.....lots of throwbacks and some great re-creations and abominations!
FiFi serving on her silver platter to the beautiful people....
GiGi heads out to feed the masses....

Casual shots on this beautiful evening.....
 Group Photo!  Almost got everyone!
A special birthday tribute from big brother to little sister.....
...and then he crowned her Prom Queen - complete with tiara and sash!
Love was in the air and this is his personal Prom Queen
Happy Birthday baby girl - you are really Fabulous, Flirty and Thirty!

Love you and Thanks everyone for helping and coming to have fun with us!!!
