This is how my little grands feel the last day of school and I can relate.....
Although we have had a really fun summer with them, we are sad to see it come to an end so we squeezed in some last minute fun.....
Brody spent the week at Skater Camp.....he is a skater boy....said see ya later boy....
So Dylan spent the week with us (hooray!).....we did some favorite things....
fishing....fishing....
....
and more fishing.....
We also had projects....the birdbath out front needed a make over.....so Dylan was meticulous in placing new stones in the area....
And decided to make a special stone inspired by this little guy....his best friend at GiGi and Gramps....
Dylan is at such a great age and works great independently, reads instructions, is patient and precise....
He also has a vision of what his end product will be....
He spaced out the little words so well....
And wanted his handprint and Rocky's paw print so we went for it!
He wants to do one final step for the big reveal at the bird bath....so until that....speaking of birds.... they are infiltrating the house.....love this pillow on the couch depicting the 4 of us all out of our cages and having fun....that's the goal when the little grands are here....
I wanted an old birdcage for a succulent garden by the birdbath....someone oh so special gave me this vintage bird cage.....
But I couldn't bear to use it outside and wanted it inside.....so I found this one at a thrift store that will become the succulent garden....
And on our motorhome trip Dylan and I stopped for supplies and he spotted this bag of flour with a blue bird on it! Of course I had to repurpose it!
And this little book found me at a garage sale!
So we united them in the precious little cage for a needed pop of color.....
So I am sad my little birds have to go back to their cages for a few months.....
But I am going to spring them out as often as I can!!!
