So Kristen txt me this picture while she and Brody were out Thrifting.....how could I refuse - Get it I said - I will pay you tonight.....
I loved these knobs I have on my desk - they are vintage amber and they really are too fragile for my desk and Steve is always after me because I try to repair them instead of replace them.....it is so hard for me to change something I love because it is not practical.....
So I finally broke down and replaced them and these are ok but need to be drilled a bit more to be flush with the drawers.....I think I traded down big time....
The boys had their Bowling Trophy Party on Saturday - so Friday when the spent the night they each had a pin to decorate - Brody wanted his to be Batman so we worked on that....
He glued and pasted and put on googly eyes....
and was so proud of how it turned out!
Dylan wanted to make a German Shepard....
He cut and pasted and worked and worked
And here is his happy results....
They were actually pretty cute....
And the table was full of great pins decorated!
Brody so proud of his trophy....
Dylan with his....
Brody and his Batman Balloon and his Batman Pin...
Dylan with his Balloon German Shepard and his Pin German Shepard.....
After Bowling Steve and I were hungry and could not agree on what to have so we headed to the food court....he wanted plain (Subway) I went spicy Indian Food - I think we will be spending a lot of time in Food Courts when we retire as we usually always have opposite tastes.....
Saturday night we went the the St. Paul's LUV Benefit Gala at Paradise Point....it was wonderful and had a great dinner and evening with lots of nice people....
I also went Thrifting last week....found a vintage Ukulele for our Kitschy Hawaiian Room....found this PEZ collection for a friend that collects and found this Baby Basket Basinette for a lucky little girl.....
Found all these vintage sewing accessories - they are in original package and marked like 10 cents - I know people that do vintage sewing displays that will love these!
I have been looking for a clock to replace this one for a long time....now I am not sure, every time I pass it I break into song....
I used to live in New York City
Everything there was dark and dirty
Outside my window was a steeple
With a clock that always said twelve-thirty
{Refrain}
Young girls are coming to the canyon
And in the morning I can see them walking
I can no longer keep my blinds drawn
And I can't keep myself from talking
At first so strange to feel so friendly
To say good morning and really mean it
To feel these changes happenin' in me
But not to notice till I feel it
Cloudy waters cast no reflection
Images of beauty lie there stagnant
Vibrations bounce in no direction
But lie there shattered into fragments
